A childish form of insult

Re Jim Bunny column, The Weekend Sun, February 16. A columnist and an egotistical, embittered, rich, old man share one thing in common: both have the means of expressing their views to the public, whether we (the public) like it or not. A talented writer/speaker uses words to best advantage. Clever humour and caring words can encourage, while mocking a person because the sight of them offends you is stooping to basic negativity.

What will come next, people with varicose veins should not wear shorts? The world is not perfection Mister Bunny-Rabbits. If you feel the desire for change then mockery is not the way. The ability to use humour as a positive form of communication is indeed a gift. Sinking to name-calling (Heffalump) and ridicule is not a gift, it is a childish form of insult.
