Two injured in truck crash

Two people are in hospital with serious injuries following a crash between a truck and car.

The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched just after 2pm on Thursday to Hardwood Rd, Tapapa, where the accident had happened.

A spokesperson for the rescue helicopter says two people were seriously injured in the crash.

“They were both treated at the scene by paramedics before being flown to Waikato Hospital for treatment.”

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
