Tauranga's Labour list MP has made a goodwill swing through the Coromandel.

Jan Tinetti has been charged with looking after the Coromandel electorate for Labour and she considers herself 'Labour buddy MP” to the electorate.

She is also Labour Party spokesperson for the electorate.

'My first two days of visits gave me a brief taste of the vibrant and dynamic community. I am looking forward to visiting more groups within the electorate in the near future.”

On her first visit Jan visited schools, kindergarten and Maori wardens in Katikati to see the work they are doing.

She then visited Paeroa Central School, then onto Thames and the Thames Coromandel District Council and the local high school.
