A Mount Maunganui man has been named as the person killed in a crash on Totara Street on Saturday.
Police have named 74-year-old Kevin William Akroyd as the man who died following a crash between a motorcycle and truck around 9.30am.
"Police extend their sympathies to Mr Akroyd's family and friends at this difficult time," says a police spokesperson.
"The serious crash unit will be investigating the crash."
