Electricity supply has been restored to the majority of customers in Te Puke.

A fault on Powerco's electricity network cut supply to 313 properties.

Network Operations Manager Phil Marsh says the power cut occurred around 12.40pm.

All but around 10 customers remain without power as final repairs are completed.

An unrelated power cut occurred in Pyes Pa at 2.09pm, affecting 2387 customers.

Crews are working to restore supply, but the cause of the outage is unknown at this stage.

Makes Me Wonder

Makes me wonder about the number of power cuts happening these days whether with the increase in population and whether their circuit breakers are up to coping with the extra load and whether maintenance is up to scratch.
