Thousands of people are without power in Katikati this afternoon.
Around 1154 properties have been affected by the power outage.
According to Powerco, the supply went down around 2.40pm.
Contractors are working to restore the feed and Powerco estaimtes to have it back on around 5.40pm.
The cause of the outage is not yet known.

outages affect so many and still no idea as what has caused major disruptions. It either smacks of incompentents or just plain mind your own bussiness. It is about time these power companies are held responable for loss of effects.
