Minor injuries in power pole crash

A driver has escaped with minor injuries following a crash in Te Puna.

A police media spokesperson says the incident happened just before 10.30am.

"A car crashed into a power pole at about 10.23am on Te Puna Station Road near SH2.

"The power pole exploded during the crash and power was out in the area."

"Power lines were across the road at the time of the crash," says police.

"Ambulance, fire crews and police were in attendance. The driver was assessed by paramedics and has minor injuries which were treated at the scene.

"Police have made a report and are investigating."

Power pole jumping out in front of a car. When will these power poles learn that they will only be replaced by a new one after committing suicide.
