Three people have sustained minor to moderate injuries following a crash near Kawerau.

A police media spokesperson says the accident happened around 2.30pm at the intersection of Kawerau Rd and Onepu Spring Rd.

"A single car has rolled. Two people have minor injuries and one has moderate injuries."

There is no indication of any road blockages, says police.

Reports are coming in about a rolled car on SH34 near Kawerau.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says the accident has happened at the intersection of Kawerau Rd and Onepu Spring Rd.

"The car has rolled and it looks pretty serious."

Fire crews are reportedly at the scene.
