One critically injured in Katikati crash

A person is in critical condition in Tauranga Hospital after being thrown from a vehicle.

Emergency services were called to a crash on Wharawhara Road, near Katikati, around 11.30pm.

A police spokesperson says one person was thrown from the vehicle after it spun out.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

Witnesses to the crash are asked to contact Tauranga Police Station on 07 577 4300.

Alternatively, information can be left anonymously via the Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 line.
