Peacefully surrounded by family at Mary Shapley Care Home, Whakatane, on 14^th July 2018 in his 97^th year. Devoted husband of Ellen (deceased 2007) for 63 years and committed Educationalist. Father/father-in-law to Owen (deceased 1968); Gavin and Ruth; Gillian and Tony; Kaye. Loved Grandfather to Susanne (deceased 1972); Jamie & Julie; Sarah; Toni & Thomas; Susie; Tane; Angel; Ryan; Luke. Revered GreatGrandfather to Jessie-Lee, Thomas (Jnr), Darcy, Chase, Vance, Steele and Karem. A celebration of Dave's life will be held in the chapel of Willetts Funeral Services, 21 King Street, Whakatane on Friday 20^th July at 2pm followed by a private cremation.
