An investigation is underway following a stabbing in Huntly this morning.
A man is in Waikato Hospital in a critical condition following the incident, says Area Manager Investigations Senior Sergeant Stephen Ambler.
Police were called to Kimihia Road at 5.10am.
"A property on Burke Place is cordoned off and a scene examination is being carried out.
"Another man is currently being spoken to by Police and is assisting with enquiries."
The pair are known to each other.
