A new business degree is set to launch in Tauranga.

The bachelor of applied management will be available at the Bongard campus through the Toi-Ohomai Institute.

Launching in October this year, student can select one of five majors – accounting, business management, finance, human resource management or marketing.

Students can complete their degree in six trimesters which is three per year, meaning less than the usual three years.

Completion of the first two trimesters provides an embedded exit qualification, New Zealand Diploma of Business Level 5, which also provides the educational background for the accounting technician qualification.

All study can be completed part-time and there are face to face, online and flexible learning opportunities.

'Toi–Ohomai is well known for the high level of tailored support it offers to it students. We keep class sizes small so everyone gets personalised one to one guidance. The support services are tailored to student needs. We have staff on-hand to help make best use of the programmes and data sources able to be accessed as a student,” says the Toi Ohomai website.

'Joining the Toi Ohomai business whānau will help students feel like a part of a regional network of like-minded spirits as we continue to promote local business in case studies, site visits, inclusion of guest speakers and cadetships.”
