What’s on? A taste of history and Saturday markets

Good morning, and happy Saturday - for most of us the best day of the week.

MetService has predicted a gorgeous weekend on the cards for the entire Bay of Plenty this weekend. Temperatures are expected to rise to the mid-teens across both days, with fine weather carrying us to the week's end.

I don't know if I'm alone in this but weather like this always makes me feel as if we're having summer in winter time!

And on that note, another thing that gives me those vibes is a weekend that's packed full of things to do - and this one is one of them.

From 9am-4pm today and tomorrow you can head over to the Greerton Hall and catch the Arms and Militaria show.

My "girlie" interests might throw you a bit from believing it but this kind of stuff excites me! I remember being young and my Dad showing me Grandad's old bayonet and I swear at the time I thought I'd never seen anything cooler than that before in my life.

You can get that exact kind of thrill at this show - so make sure you head along.

If you're a sale-lover, and love that vibe of shopping locally or at market's then today is your day!

Just down the road from the Arms and Militaria show, is the Greerton Car boot sale. It's been up and running since 7am this morning so head down quick to make the most of it.

Or a little closer to the city is the Tauranga Farmers' Market which is being held at Tauranga Primary School.

Plus there's loads of other outdoor, and indoor activities being held today - find something you like below.
