What’s on: acoustic set at The Phoenix

Waylon McPherson. File Photo.

Good Morning Sunners and happy Sunday!

MetService has predicted a pretty fine day for us today here in the sunny Bay of Plenty.

We have some chilly frosts to start our morning off with some light winds. There is also going to be some high cloud later on tonight.

We are expected to reach a high of 14 degrees and an overnight low of 6 degrees.

If you are looking for something to get you out of the house today, head down to The Phoenix on The Strand to see and hear local Waylon McPherson play.

Waylon is a solo acoustic guitarist and singer playing popular music and hits from an array of bands.

He covers artists such as The Beatles, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Jack Johnson, Tom Petty, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Coldplay and much more.

Waylon sets starts at 2pm and is a great way to start off your Sunday afternoon.

If music isn't your thing check out a range of other activities being held today below.
