Vehicle recovery on SH29, traffic delays expected

Traffic caught up in yesterday's crash.

State Highway 29 between Tauranga and Te Poi will be under stop/go traffic management on Friday.

The Kaimai Ranges will be under traffic management for 12pm till 3pm on Friday September 14 following a serious crash that closed the road yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene on SH29 near Old Kaimai Road on Wednesday afternoon after a transporter truck and car crashed.

The road re-opened around 6pm on Wednesday night.

A statement from the NZTA says that the stop/go traffic management will be in place during recovery of a vehicle that was involved in the crash.
