SH29 reopens after truck crash

The road is now open.

State Highway 29 has reopened following a crash near the Kaimai Summit.

The road was closed after a truck and trailer unit rolled just west of Soldiers Road around 5.40am.

During the closure the vehicle was removed from the road by a crane.

“Vehicle recovery has now been completed and all lanes are open on State Highway 29 over the Kaimai Ranges,” says NZTA.

Police say no one was injured in the crash.
