Cadets and the Singh CC, sit at the top of Western Bay of Plenty Reserve Grade competition, after solid wins on Saturday November 10.

The Otumoetai Cadets second team squared of with Tauranga Boys College, with Tauranga Boys dismissed for 147.

Liam Collett and Braxton Fisher both reached the thirties with Sam McLaughlin taking three wickets for Cadets. A defiant 62 not out from Andrew Mascall, took the Tauranga Domain based side home to the win points on offer.

Te Puke Reserves slipped down the standings are being beaten by the Singh CC. Te Puke batted first at home on the Te Puke Domain and were bowled out for 159. Scott Struiksma and Reinhardt Kruger posted identical scores of 30 runs before being dismissed. The Singh XI got the runs required for victory with five wickets to spare.

Greerton made quick work of the Mount Maunganui batting attack, removing them for 119. Mike Brown returned 3/24 for the victors with Dion McCall top scoring with an unbeaten 42 batting at five.

R&A Sangha won a high scoring encounter with Aquinas College. The College students set their opponents nearly five runs an over target, after they reached 241/9. A determined R&A Sangha reply, saw them lose just three wickets, with GS Gagan and Amandeep Singh both hitting identical scores of 110 not out.

Greerton B Grade batsman Daljit Singh blasted the weekend's highest Western Bay score. Singh opened his sides innings against Grasshoppers and smacked the ball around Mitchell Park, to finish with 154 runs. Aman Mahal also made a big contribution, to his side total of 305 for the loss of just three wickets, with 79 not out. The Hoppers were restricted to 191/8 to hand the Greerton boys a big win.

The three Papamoa B Grade sides, sit with a share of the lead at the top off the competition points table after success on Saturday. PapaOMA's had a short and sharp game against the Singh CC, bowling them out for 79 and cruising home with seven wickets in hand.

Papamoa Tangaroa bowled first and faced a reasonable solid target, restricting Mount Maunganui to 183/9. Aaron Barbour did plenty of damage with the ball finishing with a five wicket bag. Ryan Foord and Aaron Barbour were in sterling form with the bat, with Foord top scoring with 72 runs.

Papamoa Wanderers posted 163 all out against Tauranga Boys College and then bowled the Tauranga Boys second eleven out for 105 to claim a solid 58 run win. Wanderers ace bowler Chris Uden finished with another five wickets in his teams scorebook. Cadets were bowled out for 137, by Albion, then led by three wickets apiece from Sam O'Regan and Jay Silcock removed their opponents for 115.
