No criminal charges will be laid following an investigating to a bus crash which claimed the life of an 11-year-old girl.

Hannah Francis was killed when the bus she was on crashed on Ohakune Mountain Road on July 28.

Several other people were also injured in the crash.

Detective Inspector Ross McKay says police has completed the criminal investigation into the tragic crash.

'As a result of the investigation, no criminal charges will be laid.

'Police will continue to provide support for other agencies in their ongoing investigations.

'No further information is available at this time while the matter is prepared for a coronial hearing.”
