Good Morning SunLive readers and welcome back to Sunday, and I must say it really is beginning to look and feel a lot like summer.

I hope you are covering up and using sunscreen already because the sun is back in full blast today, and who wants to spend their last couple of weeks at work with a bad sunburn?

Looking at the weather for the Bay of Plenty today, it is going to be fine all day with some light winds and some afternoon sea breezes.

Your high for today will be 25 degrees with an overnight low of 14 degrees.

Looking into the weather for Monday, I might have spoken too soon about the fine weather, as showers are forecasted for tomorrow afternoon.

If you are looking for something to get you out and about today, Tauranga CBD is getting ready for Christmas by holding two Christmas events today.

Starting at 11am today, there is the Trustpower Christmas Party and CCS Disability Action ‘Celebrate Us' concert.

This event is taking place on the waterfront, with Downtown Tauranga bringing along a number of floats and entertainment that was set to appear in this year's Christmas Parade.

CCS Disability Action has an amazing line up of entertainment which is set to take place on the big stage on the water front from 12-3pm.

Another event that is happening today is the Christmas Carols on the Waterfront.

The carols is taking place from 5.30pm at Edgewater Fan on the Tauranga Waterfront.
