The road is now clear after a two vehicle crash on State Highway 2, near Edgecumbe.
Emergency services were called to the intersection on Western Drain Road and Awakeri Road just before 8am.
A police spokesperson says one driver reported of a bit of a sore neck.
'They were getting it checked out by ambulance.
'The road was to be cleared within minutes.”
