Update 9.00am: Police have been called to a crash on State Highway 30, near Coastlands at 7.51am, which is currently blocking.

The crash involved three cars and it was a nose to tail.

A police spokesperson says no injuries have been reported.

"The lane heading in to Whakatane is blocked and diversions are in place on Huna Road."

Police are currently attending a crash on State Highway 30 near Whakatane.

A reporter at the scene says the vehicles are being moved off the road.

"Traffic is moving very slowly and then at times will come to a stop, but I think that is because they are putting the cars onto tow trucks.

"Police are here as well."
