Close to capacity crowd for ODI at Bay Oval

UPDATED: Blackcaps captain Kane Williamson has won the toss and chose to bat first on his home ground at the Bay Oval in this afternoon's One Day International series opener against Sri Lanka.

Openers Martin Guptill and Colin Munro put on 23 before Munro fell for 13 to the bowling of Sri Lankan legend Lasith 'Slinger” Malinga.

After the eighth over Guptill and Williamson had taken the score to 54/1. In the process Guptill brought up his 6000th run in international cricket.
