Husband-and-wife comedians Michele ACourt and Jeremy Elwood are promising a night of intelligent, impudent and irreverently uplifting fun at Baycourt Community & Arts Centre next month.

Arts on Tour NZ in association with Baycourt Presents is proud to present On The Road with Michèle A'Court & Jeremy Elwood in the Baycourt X Space on Tuesday, February 26.

Baycourt manager James Wilson is excited to have ACourt and Elwood bring to Tauranga this new show that delves into all the stuff the crack-up Kiwi comedy power-couple tell each other.

“Michèle and Jeremy are well-known for their incisive and quick witted insights into modern life, and are two headline acts in New Zealand and across the world,” says James.

“So what happens when they share the bill in this new touring show? What happens when they don’t share the same take on things? Who will get the last laugh?”

Two of New Zealand’s premiere comedians, A’Court and Elwood have both performed comedy around Aotearoa and the globe for more than 20 years.

Regular guests on Radio New Zealand’s The Panel, they also feature on TV shows such as 7 Days and The Project, while their co-written weekly column for the Christchurch Post also features on stuff.co.nz

Insightful as well as outrageously entertaining, they’ve appeared at festivals around the world, from Adelaide to Edinburgh, and are regulars at the New Zealand International Comedy festival.

Michèle also enjoyed huge success when she toured ‘Stuff I Forgot to Tell My Daughter’ with Arts on Tour NZ in 2016.

“Stand-up comedy and summer go together like pavlova and cream, so I’m thrilled that Michele and Jeremy are bringing the laughs to Baycourt in February.

“I also reckon we have the best air-con in the Bay, so the X Space is the perfect spot to enjoy a night of sizzling comedy.”

Every year Arts on Tour NZ brings some of the best Kiwi actors and musicians to audiences around Aotearoa. On The Road follows hot on the heels of the Baycourt Presents Arts On Tour in Tauranga! show series which played at venues around the city in 2018.

Baycourt Presents in association with Arts on Tour NZ presents On The Road with Michèle A’Court & Jeremy Elwood at Baycourt X Space on Tuesday, February 26 at 7:30pm.
