State Highway 36, near Gloucester Road, is closed and will be for around three hours.
Police say the road closure is to allow for a scene examination to take place following a fatal crash on January 29.
"There will be traffic management in place but motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and expect delays," says a police spokesperson.
"Motorists are thanked in advance for their patience."
