Police can now release the name of the 24-year-old man who died following a motorcycle crash on State Highway 38,
Local man Herewini Gavigan died in a crash near Murupara on Sunday.
"Police's thoughts are with Mr Gavigan's family at this difficult time," says a police spokesperson.
"The investigation into the circumstances of the crash continues."
Anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact their nearest police station.
Alternatively, information can be left anonymously via the Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 line.
