Alayna’s music rises in the charts

The music of Alayna, the Rotorua songster who featured on the 7-Days TV3 programme last week, continues to rise in the charts.

Her father, Rob Powley, says Alayna's music has reached literally millions on Spotify - the world's largest music streaming device.

Royalties have already been paid out.

Alayna's latest album, Falling Autumn, is approaching seven million.

An earlier album Bliss is approaching three million hits and Sweet Soul is at two million. Another High Off You has registered 1.5 million.

Alayna's latest Between Dusk and Dawn is climbing, having already registered more than 300,000.

Rob and his wife Rose work as school teachers with strong ties at the Kaharoa School, Alayna's first school.

Rose still works at Kaharoa, while Rob has worked as a music teacher at Rotorua Intermediate School for the last eight years.
