Water shutdown for Tauranga residents

Residents in Tauranga will be experiencing a water shutdown over the next few days.

On Tuesday February 12, residents on Seymour Place will experience a water shutdown from 9am to 12pm.

Households that will be affected is numbers four to 32, evens only.

On Wednesday February 13, residents on Castlewold Drive, Rochester Place and Wakefield Drive will experience a water shutdown from 9am to 12pm.

Households that will be affected is even numbers from 62 to 66 on Castlewold Drive. Numbers two to 18 evens only on Rochester Place, and numbers two to 66, evens only on Wakefield Drive.

A statement on the Tauranga City Council website says the shutdown times are expected to be accurate.

'Downer Ltd is a Tauranga City Council approved contractor and will be isolating the water supply in the area between the hours shown.

'Downer Ltd staff carry identification and can produce this if requested.

'Staff may need to enter your property to flush water from an outside tap to prevent dirty water entering your property.”
