The search for missing Maketu man John Kohi Mohi, otherwise known as Johnny Moses, has reached its fourth day.
Yesterday afternoon, police renewed an appeal for sighting of John as another day of searching ended up unsuccessful.
The Maketu Health and Social Services Facebook page has been providing updates about the search.
Tauranga Police Inspector Zane Smith says they received a missing person's report on Monday, regarding John who suffers from dementia.
Zane says John is a 77-year-old man with a dark complexion, white hair and brown eyes.
'He is about 6ft, with a very slim build. Notably, John walks with his head down in a stooped position.
'When he went missing, John was seen wearing a dark business-style button-down shirt with a blue and white check pattern on it.
'He was also wearing a pair of black or grey long pants and jandals. He was last seen on Wilson Road in the Maketu area.”
