State Highway 2 is now open following a serious crash yesterday.
The crash occurred at the Waioeka River Bridge near Opotiki, says the NZTA.
One person died as a result of the crash and three other passengers are injured.
The road was closed for some time and it reopened around 7.00pm on Saturday night.
A police spokesperson says the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
