Police seeking assistance following robbery

Police are seeking the public's assistance to identify the offender involved in a robbery at the Z Energy Service Station in Papamoa.

The robbery took place at 10.30pm on Monday night, where an unknown male was wearing socks, but no shoes, a police spokesperson says.

"Inside the premises, the male used a knife to threaten a female employee and rob the service station of a number of items, including cash and tobacco.

"The worker was left shaken and upset but was not physically harmed."
