UPDATED 8.19AM: One person has sustaine minor injuries in a crash in Welcome Bay this morning.

Police were called to the crash on Welcome Bay Road, outside Caltex, at 7.45am.

A police spokesperson says a car and cyclist crash.

"One person received minor injuries and there's no indication of any blocking."

EARLIER:

Reports are coming in of a cyclist and car colloding in Welcome Bay this morning.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says the crash is outside the Caltex on Welcome Bay Road.

"Emergency services have been called."
