A section of walkway joining the Strand waterfront with the Matapihi Rail Bridge and Harbourside restaurant area will be temporarily closed from this afternoon.
The closure is intended to allow contractors to undertake repairs to the wooden walkway, and is expected to last a week.
Pedestrians are advised to use the footpath on the neighbouring road.
Signage will be in place.
