It's a perfect day for an autumn Quarry Fest!

The weather forecast for today is for a fine day with southwest breezes. It's a two-clothing layer day with an expected high of 21 degrees, and an overnight low of 10 degrees.

Bring along the whole whanau to the Te Puna Quarry Park today from 10am to 4pm for the Lions Autumn Quarry Fest. Special guest artists the Nairobi Trio will be performing in the amphitheatre. Entry is a $5 per adult donation and children under 14 can enter for free. More details here.

Bring your furry friends down to Memorial Pool for the long awaited Pooch in the Pool! There will be giveaways, free samples, balls galore and so much more. Make sure your pups dress to impress! Small dogs will be taking to the pool from 10am -11.30am; large dogs from 11.30am – 1pm; and small dogs and large dogs who are known to behave well together from 1pm – 2.30pm. The People's Gallery-Toi ka rere

If art is your thing, head over to the Odyssey' Art Exhibition, at The People's Gallery-Toi ka rere at Tauranga Historic Village. There you will find that Kinsa Hays, Carolyn Watts and Bob Drake, three exhibitors from the Katikati Art Group, are each showing their own take on an aspect of their journey through life. Expressed in completely different ways, ‘Odyssey' brings together colour, assemblage and form in a community setting. The exhibition runs until April 22. More information here
