The power cut to more than 1000 homes across Papamoa this evening is expected to be resolved by 2am on Easter Friday, April 19.

Power Co report that a site investigation is underway.

More than 1000 homes in Papamoa have been affected by an unexpected power cut this evening.

According to Power Co, 1014 properties at Papamoa Beach are affected, with power going out at around 10.01pm on Thursday night.

Power Co says the estimated restoration for power is 3.01am on Friday April 19.

Residents of Parton Rd, Longview Dr, Papamoa Beach Rd and Dickson Rd are reporting that the power to their properties is off.

The cause of the power cut is as yet unknown.
