State Highway 33, near Paengaroa, is open this morning following a serious crash.
Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle crash near Allport Road around 10pm.
A police spokesperson says "initial reports state there are serious injuries".
"Four people were injured."
The road was closed for several hours and, according to NZTA, was re-opened around 3am.
The serious crash unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
