UPDATED: NZTA is reporting that the Tauranga Habour Bridge is now clear.
A truck had broken down, blocking one lane of the bridge just before 1.30pm.
A reporter at the scene says it was a road workds truck that had broken down.
Since SunLive posted our original story, people have taken to Facebook to report delays in the area.
One person said it took them 40 minutes just to get to Hewletts Road.
While the truck has been cleared, people are being warned to expect some delays while the back log of traffic clears.
