UPDATE 4:40PM:
A police spokesperson has confirmed four vehicles were involved in a crash on SH33 near Allport Road around 3.20pm.
"One person is in a moderate condition who needed to be assessed by ambulance."
Police say the crash doesn't appear to be major.
A crash involving multiple vehicles is being reported on State Highway 33 this afternoon.
A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says the crash is near Allport Road, in Paengaroa.
"There looks like there is four cars involved.
"A paramedic is attending to one of the woman involved in the crash."
Police are at the scene of the crash.
The caller to the crash is near some road works and people should be advised to slow down in the area.
