Missing children in Napier found

Kingston and Daytona Kerehoma have been found, says police.

UPDATED 9.44AM:

Two children in Napier have been found safe and well after they were reportedly missing yesterday, says a police spokesperson.

"An 11-year-old boy and 8-year old girl reported missing in Maraenui, Napier, yesterday have been found safe and well.

"The children were located by Police around 9.15am.

"Police would like to thank the public for their assistance."

Police are asking for the public's help to find two missing children from the Maraenui, Napier area.

Kingston and Daytona Kerehoma were last seen yesterday afternoon near Richmond School.

Kingston is 11-years-old, around 100cm tall and of a slim build.

"He has short black hair and was last seen wearing his Richmond School uniform – a dark t-shirt and shorts," says a police spokesperson.

Daytona is 8-years-old, around 100cm tall and of a slim build.

"She has dark, shoulder length hair and was last seen wearing her Richmond School uniform with a black Warriors jacket and a red beanie.

"Both children were last seen carrying their school backpacks."

Police urge anyone who has seen Kingston and Daytona, or has information that may help locate them, to call 111.
