A car has flipped on State Highway 2, near Matata.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before 5.30pm this evening.
A police spokesperson says a car had flipped on SH2 west, about five minutes out of Matata.
'The eastbound land was blocked for a short time, however the sole occupant of the vehicle was out and had only minor injuries.
'They went to Whakatane Hospital to be checked over.”
