Temporary pedestrian crossing on Matapihi Road

File Image.

The New Zealand Transport Agency are installing a new temporary pedestrian crossing on Matapihi Road as part of the Bay Link Project.

In a statement on Facebook the NZTA says the crossing will be between Russley Drive and the rail crossing.

They will also be temporarily closing the footpath between the railway line and Golf 360.

'From Monday 10pm, footpath users on the golf course side of Matapihi Road will need to cross at the temporary pedestrian crossing, and cross Matapihi Road again at the existing pedestrian crossing near Owens Place to access the underpass.

'Thanks for your patience and apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.”
