Police name man killed in Lower Kaimai crash

A Hamilton man has been identified as the person who was killed in a crash on State Highway 29 on Monday.

Gregory Matthew Farrell, 52, died in a two-vehicle crash on the highway, between Omanawa and Ruahihi roads, around 2.30pm.

Two other people were also injured in the crash.

"Police extend their sympathies to his family and friends," says a police spokesperson.

The road was closed for several hours following the crash.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
