The driver of a vehicle which crashed into a power pole in Tauranga reportedly walked away without injury, says police.

Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash on Ohauiti Road around 10pm on Monday.

'The driver appears to have been the only occupant of the car and was reportedly uninjured, apart from some potential whiplash.

'Power was still out at 10.45pm and the power company was on site until at least 11.30pm.”

There are no outages reported by Powerco this morning.
