One person is in a critical condition following a single-car crash in Te Teko on Saturday night.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Galatea Rd about 7.20pm.
St John Ambulance attended the traffic accident with two ambulances. A rescue helicopter was also despatched to the scene.
One patient was transported to Tauranga Hospital in a critical condition.
The road was closed on Saturday night between MacDonald Rd and Te Mahoe School Rd, and traffic diversions were put in place and motorists advised to avoid the area. The road is now open.
