The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise are running a New Zealand Roadshow to promote the New Zealand – Singapore Enhanced Partnership, recently launched by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern in Singapore in May this year.

The roadshow, titled ‘Opening the Door to Singapore' is being held in Tauranga, as well as Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. The roadshow is taking place from September 16 to September 20.

New Zealand's High Commissioner to Singapore Jo Tyndall, and New Zealand's Trade Commissioner to Singapore Hayley Horan are leading the event.

'The event is designed for people wanting to, or are, conducting business with Singapore and the region,” says a MFAT spokesperson.

'People will understand more about the New Zealand – Singapore bilateral relationship, learn about the tangible benefits of upgrade of our Free Trade Agreement with Singapore, the Closer Economic Partnership, and gain insight into how to do business with the market and the opportunities there.

'The Roadshow is being held to promote the New Zealand – Singapore Enhanced Partnership and the Free Trade Agreement with Singapore, the Closer Economic Partnership.

'The roadshow is designed to provide New Zealand businesses with the information and support to better understand the Singapore market, and its role as the economic gateway to Asia and the world.

'Bay of Plenty businesses are heavily invested in the international market, especially with Asia, and well positioned to take advantage of opportunities in Singapore.”

‘Opening the Door to Singapore' roadshow is taking place in Tauranga on Thursday September 19.
