Pink pooches on parade

Dress your dog in maximum pink comfort for this years’ HOT Pink Walk.

It's time to dust off your pink wig, pull out the tutu and get yourself dolled up to paint the town pink – hot pink.

That's right, the annual HOT Pink Walk is coming back to Tauranga on October 9.

Brought to you by the Breast Cancer Support Service Tauranga Trust and House of Travel, this fun event is a chance to walk, celebrate and remember those in our lives who have had breast cancer.

It's an easy two-kilometre walk and there's heaps of entertainment along the route.

Bring your friends and family, workmates, flatmates, neighbours – whoever – but just make sure you are there.

Walkers meet at Masonic Mark on the Strand at 5.30pm and the walk counts down at 6pm sharp.

Enter your dog in the Pink Pooch Parade which was such a hit with dog lovers last year. Make sure your dog is also dressed to the nines in their very best pink.

It's important that your dog is comfortable as well as pink, so please dress your dog in maximum pink comfort. Dogs must be registered between 5-5.30pm to be part of the judging for best pink pooch and the winning dog will be trotting home with a great goodie basket courtesy of Tauranga Vets.

It's an event for the whole family! Entry is by donation and you can donate and register at all Bay of Plenty House of Travel shops from September 26, all Bay of Plenty Z stations from October 1, or online right now.
