More is out to more than 100 properties in the Western Bay of Plenty.
Powerco is reporting that 132 homes are without power in the Pongakawa area.
Power went off around 9.15am and is estimated to be back on around 3pm.
Powerco reports "damaged equipment" is the cause of the outage.
No other outages have been reported in the region so far.
