A public meeting is being held in Tauranga tonight by some members of the National Political Party.

Held at the Tauranga RSA from 7pm, the public has their chance to tell their opinions to National members.

A spokesperson for National says the MPs' offices here in Tauranga have had numerous enquiries about the gun laws and it is understood the MPs will be addressing those enquiries at the meeting.

They will be opening up the floor for a Q&A.

Those in attendance will be National Party List MP Brett Hudson based in Ohariu, and National spokesperson for police. Hon Simon Bridges MP for Tauranga, and Todd Muller, MP for Bay of Plenty.

For those wanting to attend, the meeting is taking place on Thursday, December 5 from 7pm at the Hinton Room, Tauranga RSA.
