Waipuna Hospice is putting the call out to people of Tauranga, encouraging them to help raise funds for their cause by trekking the Great Wall of China.
The five-day trek is taking place in October and will involve venturing through of the most historic sites in China.
“Our valued supporters, know we can’t provide the best hospice care possible to local families and whānau without their support,” says a Waipuna Hospice spokesperson.
“The money raised by taking part in this challenge will change lives. It will help Waipuna Hospice provide the best possible hospice care to even more families, and help people make the most of their lives, in whatever way is most meaningful to them.”
Hike for Hospice will bring people together around the idea that while doing something “amazing”, they can also give back to families and individuals dealing with death and terminal illness in the Bay of Plenty.
