Tauranga Police are working to locate the occupants of a vehicle following a police pursuit.
A police spokesperson says a vehicle was found abandoned on Lyn Grove, Papamoa, at about 5.30am.
Police chased a vehicle that failed to stop at the intersection of Papamoa Beach Road and Hartford Avenue at about 5.05am.
The vehicle was found about 25 minutes later, missing its driver.
'Police are making enquiries to locate its occupants.”

Police policy in a chase should be to the end until arrested to save time and money on trying to find the culprit later.
