Tauranga City Council's PayMyPark app and online parking page are currently down.
"This outage is affecting a number of Councils across the country, and our supplier is working on a fix," says a post in the Tauranga City Council Facebook page.
Council envorinmental manager Sam Fellows says the app should be back up and running by today.
"Our supplier has been working around the clock to fix the issue. They believe it should be back up today.
The app is down to a technical issue at the suppliers end, he says,
"Although the PayMyPark app is down, people are still able to pay via txt-to-park, cash and card options at the machine."
